On this the 50th anniversary of Bob Mercer's first year on council we will dedicate this page to honor him and his 27 years of community service.

 

 

Robert C. (Bob) Mercer

Bob Mercer served on council from 1958-1967 and from 1972-1976 when he succeeded long time Mayor Edward Henle to become Mayor from 1976-1989.

In Bob's many years on council he served on many committees and also as President of council. In addition to Bob's elected service he served on the fire department and on many civic committees. Bob was one of the first Leetsdale Officials to call for the construction of an overpass to eliminate the dangerous Ferry Street crossing.

Bob is a life member of the Leetsdale Fire Department
